Firstly after Client Experiences challenges with any one of Our Cnc Machines that they cannot rectify alone or prefer a Qualified/Certified AM.CO.ZA Technician, they book for a Callout/ Technical Assistance on am.co.za/callout or call AM.CO.ZA ADMINISTRATION.
Once a Callout has been booked, the assigned Tech receives an email with Clientele’s Details and Request. Tech acquires spare parts from AM.CO.ZA DISPATCH, Processes necessary paperwork for the callout. Searches Clients Address on GPS as he prepares to depart from AM.CO.ZA OFFICES. Upon arrival, Tech Notifies the Client Admin and hands in the Callout Log form and he is shown the machine and gets a description of the Problem from the Operator.
Once on the machine Tech starts diagnostics and commences the Repair. In this particular callout I was servicing an AM.CO.ZA [Advanced Machinery] TruCut Laser Cutting and Engraving Machine, 2014 Model and Installing a New CO2 Tube 130w.
Upon Arrival at Client Premise and meeting up with the Client we test the machine status as is and updated on machines History and what he wishes for me to accomplish for him. Firstly I prefer to clean entire machine that way I can get to access every component on the machine if fully operational.
Using Cloths, paint brush and Detergent/Degreaser I carefully wipe off Dirt on all components. I dismantle the Mirrors and Lens, cleaning and accessing the credibility to fully and efficiently reflect the Laser Beam out of the Tube. Secondly I gently wipe off all dirt of the LC=TUBE/130 and disconnect the Power cables, in this case the Tube was at its lifespan end & now weak so no need to replace back onto the Machine. When removing the CO2 LC-TUBE/130w one has to be careful for it is Glass and Fragile. Drain all water in the tube and check Tubes Lens credibility. Carefully set it aside away from harm.
With a Paint brush & Degreaser carefully clean the X & Y AXIS + GANTRY, Clean Motor belts. To avoid pouring water into Electrical PARTS use a Spray bottle to wet and cloths to dry off. Disconnect the Water Chiller and Worn out Water Pipes. On the Water Chiller wipe all dirt outside and Pour into the tank minimal Detergent or Degrease. Loop the INTO AND Outlet of the Water Chiller with a 15cm Water Hose pipe[ AG-Hose/96], switch on the let it run as you continue with service.
Carefully open the LC-TUBE/130W from Packaging and Place onto the machine, secure the back the LC-TUBE Bracing with the Strips or Clamps. Place the Tube in the Machine leaving an Index finger gap between the Tubes Lens and the First Mirror. Change the 3 Mirrors and Nozzle Lens. Join/Connect the two power cables from the Power Supply to the LC-Tube. Instructions on how to join the Power Cables to the tube can be found here.
Now rinse out the Water Chiller twice with Normal Water before connecting back to the Machine and LC-TUBE, connecting the Water Chiller only to a power source now pour in your Distilled water 7litres at most in the Chiller unit and Switch on i.e Distilled Water not Purified/ Mineral/ Still/ Tap/ Battery Water and none magnetic or current conducting for it has less impurities or zinc. Make Sure not air bubbles are in the tube before powering on the Machine, so to get air bubbles out open the tank of the Chiller, lift Low voltage side of the tube, slightly rotate tube, fold into water pipe from the Chiller and let the Chiller beep 3-5 times that will create a water pressure difference when you let go forcing the Bubbles out. Replace Tube onto position and begin your Mirror Alignment.
A Manual Guide for Mirror Alignment for Laser Beam can be found on our Site using the following link . In order to efficiently Align you need to reduce the Power Percentage of Pulsing the Tube to a range of 10%-30% DEPENDING ON WHICH VALUE GIVES YOU A SHARP SMALL DOT FOR PRECISE ALIGNMENT. To clean Mirrors, Lenses and Align you will also need Cotton Ear buds, Methylated Spirit & Masking Tape.
After Alignment is complete restore Machine Max Power in the controller, Oil the Axis Rails and Begin working like NEW again. At AM.CO.ZA we believe a Clean, Serviced and Well Maintained Machine performs well than its expected Performance rating, More of Our Manuals and Videos Can be found on these Links:
